Hi, I'm Jemma Young and I'm in need of a colorist for a short single issue comic. This completed story can be read online at eldair.com/gallery.php?imgID=2…

It totals 21 pages and is already flatted. I need someone to color and paint in backgrounds. I'm hoping for a short turn around time of about 3 weeks. Project should be completed before the end of May to go to print.

This project pays $1,000 for all 21 pages and I will pay via paypal every 5 pages completed.

Qualifications:
Must be English speaking.
Must be able to use an FTP server.
Be prompt in responses.

To Apply:

Please send me a private message with subject as "Colorist Application". Include links to your portfolio, contact information, and work experience. I will not accept any applications with less than 8 pages of sequential coloring examples.

Applications close May 1st and you will be contacted by May 2nd if I want to hire you for the job.

I'm looking forward to receiving your application!
Sincerely,
Jemma M Young

Hi everyone! It's been a while, huh? That's probably because I've been working hard on my comic "Children of Eldair" which can be read at www.eldair.com

For those of you who love supporting independent comic creators, I'm currently running a kickstarter campaign to get the first five chapters of my comic printed, and I'd love to have YOU as a backer! So go check out the campaign! I'm offering all sorts of great goodies, including original art and sketches! Hope to see you there!

Hi, I'm Jemma M Young, creator and artist for the webcomic "Children of Eldair" www.eldair.com . Right now I'm running a  kickstarterto get the first book printed. bit.ly/eldairb1

This is what I'm looking for:
Someone who can take the first 150 pages of my comic and improve the current lettering within a reasonable timeframe. You can view the current lettering on www.eldair.com. You will have access to the original .ai files so you won't have to start from scratch.

Requirements:
-Lettering must be completed in Adobe Illustrator as that is what the original lettering is done in. (CS5)
-Knowledge in Photoshop in order to put lettering into .psd files.
-Be able to use an FTP server.
-English Speaking

This pays $10 a page - totaling about $1,500 upon completion.
Payment will be made after every 10 pages completed via paypal.

Message me on DA with subject as "Lettering Application". Include links to your portfolio, contact information, and work experience. I will not accept any applications without at least 8 pages of lettering examples.

Please do NOT just respond to this threat. Please PM me your application or I will not consider you for the job!

I'm looking forward to receiving your application!
Sincerely,
Jemma M Young

Interests
It's official! I've started a webcomic and the first chapter is up. It's something I've been working on for a while - and the main reason why I haven't been uploading work to DA.  I didn't want to put up work that will show up in the comic later and give out spoilers. Anyways, I hope that you'll check it out.  I do all the artwork and my friend writes the script. It updates a full color page every Monday and Thursday. Here's the link: www.eldair.com

It's called Children of Eldair -  A young adult webcomic by Rachel Oaks and Jemma Young about three friends lost in a fantastic world of magic, interracial cultures, and shadows that devour flesh.

If you enjoy the first chapter, I hope you'll keep reading as the story progresses and share it with your friends! Thanks for looking!

Jemma

Hello! My Grandmother Marilyn Hayes talked to you at the art museum in Provo. She told me to talk to you. I'm not totally sure why, she didn't explain much in the letter she sent me. I hope you have more of an idea about this than I do! :3

She said that you were possibly interested in learning more about doing digital art so I gave her my info so you could contact me if you wanted. I've been doing artwork digitally for a while now and I can give some pointers if you're looking for advice.

I think it's kinda funny that your grandma didn't really explain that to you. She was a nice lady :)

Pointers? Yes, lots please....human anatomy mostly. I've studied it a bit, but I'm finding it harder than I do anything else. I started digital art at the beginning of last year, I've done traditional since...well, for a long time. If you could look through some of my art, see what you see, and tell me anything I could improve on...that would be so helpful to me. I don't get much constructive criticism on my art, just complements. I want to know what people actually think, not what they feel they should say. I love harsh critiques, my father is a wonderful artist, much better than me, and he's always given me harsh critiques on my work. Lately, not as much.
